Cora Blake

Cora Blake writes immersive psychological fiction exploring attachment, identity, coercive control, and the quiet ways people can lose themselves inside relationships.

Her work focuses less on how things look from the outside, and more on how they feel while you’re living inside them — the contradictions, the justifications, the longing, and the slow erosion of self that can happen so quietly you barely notice it at first.

Quietly Undone and The Chosen Series were born from a desire to step back inside experiences often flattened into simple narratives and explore the emotional truth underneath them. Writing Sophie’s story became, in many ways, an act of revisiting, understanding, and healing — not through easy answers, but through honesty.

Cora is especially interested in the emotional grey areas people rarely talk about openly:
the complexity of attachment, female friendship, identity, family dynamics, and the stories we tell ourselves to survive.

Her writing aims to immerse readers completely inside the emotional experience — not simply observe it from the outside.
Quietly Undone is her debut novel.

When she’s not writing emotionally devastating scenes, she’s usually overthinking absolutely everything, drinking tea she forgot about half an hour ago, or promising herself she’ll stop editing after “one last pass.”
